Help Mom of 4 fight stage 4 breast cancer

It’s been heavy on my heart to share this news but feel it’s time.. in December of last year I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. It rocked our world and I was devastated. I had a double mastectomy because they found it in both breasts and another procedure after that. A couple months after the surgeries I had a full body MRI and was told that it is stage 4 and that it spread to several areas.

My local treatment options at this point were denied from our insurance and I had no choice to seek medical care out of state. The insurance did approve a targeted therapy only without chemo and at stage four I could not risk hoping that would work. I had to leave my husband and 4 young children to save my life.

Devastated to say the least, I never stopped praying and believing that God was working all things together for the good of those that love him and are called according to his purpose. I know deep down that this is not it and that God is going to use this for something greater than I could ever begin to imagine. I am choosing FAITH over fear.

I have never prayed harder in my life, crying out to God, pleading for answers, begging, you name it. I now can look back in a short amount of time and see that God has been working in numerous ways in the details I'm sure I’ll share more about that one day.

Now I’m doing something I’ve never done before in my life… ask for help. God sure has humbled me through this. My focus on my business has taken a huge toll to now shift focus to the most important things in my life- family, faith and getting well. With medical bills that we never expected and now a decision God laid on my heart to go to an out of state clinic in AZ because of these circumstances. The clinic specializes in stage 4 cancers and has many success stories which gives me HOPE.
