Bring Julia home!

As many of you know, this is Julia Janzen, wife and mother of two.
After many years of back pain and tests, this last May she was informed by her family doctor she had a tumour inside her spinal column. As you could imagine, this was horrifying news, unsure of any details or what was in store in her future. This tumour was located in her mid-upper back (Thoracic 2-5)
On June 14 Julia underwent surgery at Vancouver General to remove this tumour (Laminectomy with tumor resection).
The tumour was benign (non cancerous) and was removed in full. This in itself was wonderful news.
Sadly, there were complications and much more nerve damage during surgery than was hoped for. When Julia woke, she could not feel her legs.
As a result, Julia was unable to go home after her hospital stay and has been receiving rehabilitation at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver since early July.
As Julia continues to recover with minimal feeling, she now has the challenge of learning how to walk with her eyes. Not knowing fully if her legs are a foot ahead, behind or if they’re actually beneath her.
As can be imagined, life has been turned upside down.
She has lost most feeling in her legs, has been separated from her children and husband for quite some time. Life has done a complete 180.
Thankfully, with Gods strength, the prayers, the help from GF Strong, and Julias determination.... she has made great progress.
Julia and her family are eager and looking forward to her return home at the end of the month if all goes well.
While this is great news, it also means a significant financial stress. Most of these necessities are not covered by MSP.
Julia needs many things to adapt and hospital equipment to return back to her “new” normal life.
Any donations are greatly and humbly appreciated.
Funds raised will go towards:
Stair lift for the home
Walker
Wheelchair
Outfitting Julia’s vehicle with hand controls.
Private physio sessions
Custom ankle braces
As well as Bath room supports for basic life necessities.
Prayer is greatly appreciated during this time as Jeremy and Julia prepare for the transition back home and as Julia continues her rehabilitation journey.
We know that God can preform miracles, we continue to pray for complete healing! Gods got this.
Thank you for all of your love, prayers and support.
