Help For Ezra

Ezra and his Family Need Your Help

My unborn nephew Ezra has myelomeningocele spina bifida. This means there is a small hole in his spine, and a fluid build-up in his brain. There is a 1 in 1000 chance of this happening to a baby during an otherwise healthy preganancy.

Now, there are many unforseen medical and travel expenses necessary for Ezra and his mom to get the care and attention they need.  There are a number of potential costs that Ezra's family cannot cover on their own.

From Ezra's Family:

"As much as we would like to know exactly when God will heal Ezra, we don’t. We feel that the most responsible thing to do is to appeal to the community to help us meet our spiritual and practical needs during this time."

Ezra's father works in construction, and it will be next to impossible for him to cover basic expenses in addition to being present for Ezra's birth, and the surgeries that Ezra will require at that point. This difficult time would be made much easier if Ezra's whole family could be together to meet and care for him.

What the money will cover:

-Multiple mandatory trips from Kelowna to medical facilities in Vancouver
-Cost of staying in Vancouver
-Medical bills not covered by MSP
-Regular household bills
-Lost family income from Ezra's mom's two jobs.
-Unforseen expenses (likely Medical)
