Medical bills

I was hit by a car. Just to clarify. I was walking crossing a street when I got hit by a car, the car drove away and I laid unconscious until someone found me and called ambulance. I got my wallet stolen, my phone, my purse my shoes everything the hospital or police somehow "lost" in the process, and I ended up with multiple fractures, my entire body bruised, almost a busted eye bone, and major head trauma. I spent my birthday (August) in the hospital recovering. They released me with no phone or shoes or purse, meaning no money or ID they didn't contact my contact that had originally given them their number to come pick me up, they treated me like complete shit and let me figure out how to get home with a major head injury on my own without even having a pair or shoes. I am recovered now minus some brain trauma that I will always have from this, but I have well over 11,000$ in medical bills and that is not including recovery for being unable to work for two months after etc. The hospital refuses to work with me, and I've even talked to lawyers about the situation. Unfortunately my health insurance will not cover this, and I am forced to figure out how to pay thousands of dollars in medical bills ontop of paying off school, and being a single mother with no family and no support system to help me at all. I wanted to clarify this because a lot of people were confused about my accident, and also the way the hospital had and still is treating me like crap. I even sent in complaints to the big people, no response no help nothing. This accident happened 2 days after my best friend killed herself, and the day before my birthday. It was a painful recovery emotionally and physically and I hate asking for help but financially as a single mother, it's my only option to get these bills paid before they try and just take it from me. I am embarrassed and sorry I have to ask for help, but since I'm just now able to work again, and I'm in the process of training for my new job (which is unpaid training)  I cannot afford to pay this and continue to pay all my other bills and the fact I'm a single mother, my parents died and I have nobody to help what so ever.
