HR for ALL People

In June 2020, a group of Human Resource professionals came together to form HR for All People as a result of the racial pandemic that caused corporations to look at racial injustice in the workplace.
HR for All People responds to the question, "What's the big IDEA?" and provides resources to HR practitioners who are often put in uncomfortable situations when they are directed to support biased decisions that leaders have already made. We are encouraging companies who are serious about true diversity to help build the bridge with us and promote HR for All People. YouTube Link
HR for ALL People is a collective action to address racial bias and provide a safe place for all employees, particularly African Americans and other diverse populations. Our volunteers, many who were impacted by COVID-19's company downsizing are collecting stories of insensitivity and bias incidents on the job from African Americans, women and other marginalized groups and use the findings to create procedures, processes and training for HR staff.
Through an intake process, the specialist responds to the employee's complaint on the icantbreatheonmyjob website and provides recommendations. The hope is to partner with the employee's organization to resolve the issue. This outsourced process is a benefit to HR practitioners.
We want to use this framework to build trust between the employee and the Human Resource department in their organizations. Included in the plan is to create a certification program to provide education that includes recognizing bias and making improvements on current processes or policies that may be unfair.
The contributions to this fund will allow us to provide awareness of systematic racism in the workplace. The vision for this company is to partner with Alternative Investigations, an outsourcing company established to address the notion of systematic injustice during the employee relations investigation process.
