Bill and Jamie's Power Solution
Donation protected
In the aftermath of Irma and Maria Mom and Dad have been without power for a while. While they are good in regards to food, water and the house made it through the storm relatively undamaged, the lack of power and connectivity is the reason they are still at a friend's house for shelter.
While investigating buying a dual gas generators, it was determined that after buying a generator, shipping and finding fuel on island, it would have cost nearly $3000. After brainstorming some more, Dad figured he could make a system that didn't require any fuel out of a power inverter, a solar panel and a small wind turbine with a battety bank to store the power.
The intent is to have James buy the components stateside and ship them down there.
Since they are good in regards to supplies, and the transactions on island being cash only (shipping cash down there would only get stolen.) The best way to support would be to help fund this project to get a power solution for the house.
