HELPING OUR HOUSTON PHAMILY HEAL
Hurricane Harvey has devastated the city of Houston, TX and the surrounding areas destroying automobiles, homes, businesses, communities and lives.
This is close to home for our NueHealth family as we have two facilities, Houston Physicians’ Hospital (HPH) and Houston Physicians’ Surgery Center directly impacted by the hurricane.
With heavy hearts, our thoughts and prayers are with our Houston co-workers, their families, and pets. As we’ve heard through the media, there are several families displaced, 32,000 in shelters, people injured and 38 and counting fatalities caused by Hurricane Harvey! To date within the HPH family, there are at least two injuries and we are blessed to say zero fatalities. However, many employees have been personally impacted by the unprecedented devastation to hit their backyard.
The Surgery Center has several inches of standing water and is damaged significantly. The facility and NueHealth are working with insurance providers and remediation services to assess the damages. HPH has resumed most operations as of August 31, 2017. However, several employees are unable to return to work as they are focused on rebuilding their lives and volunteering to help their co-workers.
This campaign fund has been established to donate to our co-workers. Many are without homes, cars, flood insurance, clothing, toiletries, linens, food and the list goes on and on. Nick Crafts, Hospital CEO, is hopeful we can raise $250,000.00 to help our co-workers in need. Please join us in this call for action to help our Houston PHamily Heal. All contributions will go directly to HPH employees and their families in need as a result of this crisis.
