House Fire

Hello everyone; my name is Lainey and I am raising funds to help with packing, storing, moving, etc. from our house fire.

On the night of the 23rd, we went to bed like normal. At about 2 am on the 24th, I woke up unable to breathe because of smoke. John went to check around the house and found our kitchen wall glowing. He yelled that we had a fire. Panic as we rushed to get our kids and dogs out and call the fire department. After the fire department put out the fire, they told us it was due to old wiring sparking and the casing catching fire. They said if it would have been a few minutes later, it would have been much worse. We went to grab a few things after the fire and it was all extinguished. We left to stay at a friend's house and that night it caught fire again. This time the fire department said that there was still something smoldering in the living room ceiling. They ended up having to shatter the glass in our front door and tear down our entire living room ceiling and the kitchen ceiling. They deemed the home unlivable after the first fire; after the second fire, it created a hole through the roof.

Our family of 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs is now displaced for the foreseeable future.
