Houston Doulas for Displaced Ida Evacuees

4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible), and who is responsible for withdrawing and using the funds- compensating doulas for services provided to displaced families, buying postpartum items for families (diapers, formula, clothes, etc).

I have been contacted about pregnant evacuees who will need doula services while displaced in Houston. These families will also need local resources to help with all basic newborn needs (diapers, formula, clothing, etc). Some of these families paid for doula care back home and will not be able to pay again as they deal with the aftermath of the storm and being displaced.

We have doulas who can provide services for these families. I am also looking for individuals and organizations to donate funds to help compensate the doulas for their charitable service in taking care of our neighbors.

Your contributions will bring ease to families giving birth in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida and being displaced from home (Louisiana). You will also help compensate doulas who are giving their expertise, time, and energy as we take care of our neighbors. Thank you for your donations.
