Todd V. Wolfson has been THE photographer in Austin, Tx for over 50 years. An abundance of his beautiful photos have been taken for free because Todd always has his camera with him. To note, he's photographed everyone from Willie Nelson (and family) to Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Will Ferrell, Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Carolyn Wonderland, Alejandro Escovedo, Bill Hader, Liz Carpenter, Charlie Crockett, Jackie Venson, Charlie & Will Sexton, Jon Dee Graham, Lyle Lovett, Kat Edmondson, Arthur Brown, Charles Bradley, Margaret Cho, Pinetop Perkins...to almost all my album covers PLUS the arrivals and lives of not only my children (yes, at the delivery and during every step of their lives!), but hundreds upon hundreds of other lives, moments and feelings he's captured because he really loves us.
So, now, it's time for us to step up and help him during a rough moment of huge transition.
Todd has lived in the same funky little duplex for 40 years but he has, suddenly, and literally, had the rug pulled out from under him. His landlord abruptly decided to sell the property, and Todd is facing a fast and uncertain move.
This has caused a lot of trepidation because Todd's place had a garage where he could utilize backdrops and, also, keep his necessary photographic items; he has LIVED in this space and it is covered from top to bottom in the most phenomenal memories, paintings, oddities, posters, albums, photos and tchotchkes you can imagine.
We love Todd and he isn't a wealthy dude when it comes to finances, but he is wealthy with friends.
So, I'm setting up this account to alleviate some of the worries Todd has about moving. As you know, in 40 years, Austin's real estate market has more than quadrupled. Finding a new place with hardly any advance warning is going to be difficult, especially finding a place in the midst of a pandemic and one that Todd can afford.
This fundraiser will help cover the expenses of his first month's rent, the deposit, the moving costs and the time to re-set electric, water, etc plus any unforseen problems (which you know are gonna pop up.)
Thank you for your love and support in loving our beloved pal, Todd, and helping him to find a new place to reside.
