Please help any way you can in building a secure, happy, healthy and more comfortable future for these innocent children.
Initially these kids need to have a more balanced diet as at present their meals consist mainly of Posh and Rice three times per day; with the occasional piece of watermelon or other fruit. APPEAL: Please help these orphans in desperate need. 'Destiny of Happiness Children's Centre' is a non governmental orphanage in Uganda, who have fallen on tough times. The orphanage currently cares for 51 children, some of whom suffer from serious health conditions including; Typhoid and Malaria --due to a lack of access to clean drinking water. In addition, the orphanage is soon going to run out of food supplies, has unpaid medical bills and is also behind on rent. With the Landlords becoming impatient and possibly considering eviction. A staff member who works for the children's centre comments: "The Landlord is understanding but these past days he has been on our neck. He wants to chase us back to the streets.. " Apeals to the local community for help have largely been unsuccessful due to difficulties arising from the regions economic circumstances as well as the fallout of the COVID19 pandemic. The staff member comments: "The situation in the community is not favourable to us because people are caring after there families - no one cares about us brother." The children dont have clothes and shoes probably if you hve any old stock clothes you would like to donte please contact us on our contact +256702392667 . p.o box 37 bugiri Uganda. The orphanage spends around $20.00 USD per day so that 51 children can have 3 meals a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, totalling around $7,120 USD a year in food costs. The rent for the centre is $60 USD per month, that's $720 USD per annum but is at least (at time of writting) 300 USD in arrears. This is all without medical & clothing costs considered. Any help you can offer financially or even just sharing this fundraiser would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way in helping these poor orphans survive and get the urgent care that they need.
