House-fire relief for Eric and Taylor

Hi! My name is Megan and I am setting up this page to raise some funds for our sweet neighbors who have lost everything in a house fire. During a round of thunderstorms in the afternoon of July 7th, lightning struck their home and the fire immediately engulfed the entire place within minutes. Although the Hendersonville Fire Department was incredible and got here within just a couple of minutes, I am told that due to the extremely dry and hot weather conditions the last few weeks, it made the fire spread as fast as it did and was a big factor in why they lost everything. Thankfully, they were out of town with their toddler son visiting family when this all happened.

Eric and Taylor were able to visit the property this morning and collect a few small keepsakes, but almost nothing else was salvageable. They have since headed back up to Ohio and NY to stay with family for a couple weeks while they get everything sorted out and find their next home.

Many neighbors and friends have asked how to help this family out, so I asked their permission to start this page. They do have rental insurance, but we all know how difficult navigating claims can be and how these processes never move super fast. I’m hoping to raise funds to help alleviate the immediate financial burden and help get them started on their next step as a family. They will be searching for a rental along with having to replace all of their home furnishings, all clothes, shoes, toys and clothes for their son, appliances, etc.
