House of Hope- Ukrainian House of Healing, Poland

Donation protected
Hi, Christine Burych here. Our fundraising continues from the Teddy Bear Campaign to the House of Hope. During the spring, volunteers were busy transforming this former bakery into apartments for displaced Ukrainians staying in Poland.

The next segment of our efforts is to support Ukrainian families now living in Poland at the House of Hope. The House of Hope is located in the town of Auschwitz. This initiative has been part of a larger vision of Nina's called the One Humanity Institute https://onehumanity.institute/one-humanity/

Currently, we have 20 people living here. It's been wonderful to see, and we also realize the magnitude of services required. In the common area, we'd like to create a space where people can connect, learn and heal. For the kids, we'd like them to have access to computers so they can connect with schools, friends and family in Ukraine. We also have teachers who are teaching them Polish. We are working with counselors who speak Ukrainian and Russian to provide emotional first aid. With each initiative we begin, we realize there is a next step to take.

Many of the mothers are unable to work because they don't speak Polish and they don't have daycare for their kids, which is what we are trying to address to help people be more self-sufficient when they leave the House of Hope.

Here is what we are fundraising for:
1. 20 computers for people to use in the common room (cost: $20,000 USD)
2. 2 printers ($1000.00 USD)
3. Supplies for the house (food, bedding, towels, toiletries) ($10,000 USD per month)
4. Amenities for the house (heat, hydro, internet, water etc) ($4,000 USD per month)
5. Facilitators and Teachers ($2,000 USD per month)

We appreciate your desire to donate computers/electronics from NA but they do not have the same keyboards or outlets so we need to purchase them from Poland. In addition, we'd like to support the Polish economy as they are bearing the brunt of 4 million Ukrainian refugees.

Here is how I am supporting this initiative. I'm facilitating two Resiliency Assessment training sessions, and the proceeds generated will go directly to the House of Hope. Do good for yourself and these families!

Sign up either individually or on behalf of your team (great team fundraising event!) on Sept 8th (from 1:00pm to 3:30pm EST) or Sept 9th (11:00am- 1:30pm EST). Discuss and review your own resiliency assessment and the tools you need to empower you or your team's resilience. Proceeds will go directly to support the House of Hope. Nina and I will be going to Poland to personally oversee this initiative. Please watch us live on September 21 for the International Day of Peace where we will be broadcasting from the House of Hope with our Ukrainian families.

Thanks so much!!
