House fire recovery for Pineville family
Donation protected
This fundraiser was created to help Alex and Ana’s family through the uncertainty and challenges they are dealing with following a recent house fire. Shortly after 11:00 Monday night, January 14th, while two of their kids were asleep in their beds, the home was struck by lightning resulting in a structure fire. Although the home was not totally destroyed, the internal damage caused by the lightning, flames, and smoke have made the home unlivable. For the next several weeks their family of five will be living out of a hotel and will then move to an apartment for an additional 5-6 months until their home is restored. The funds raised will help provide the following items
- Food (since they are unable to cook at the hotel and will need to eat “out” with a family of five)
- Toiletries (hotel only provides a few small travel sizes)
- Clothes (all clothes were damaged by smoke. The youngest children Nico, age 10, and Gabriela, age 13, are required to wear a uniform to school, and the oldest daughter, Hilary, and the parents need clothes for work etc.)
