House Fire Recovery For Jeralyn’s Families

A fire hit Sitio Fatima in Barangay Pahina Central, Cebu City on Friday afternoon Nov. 13th 2020. This is the area where Jeralyn grew up. 58 families living there lost their homes and unfortunately 80% of these families are Jeralyn’s families and relatives including her father, siblings, aunts/uncles, cousins and their families. They were blessed with luck that everyone escaped safely with some minor injuries. They have received some help from friends, other relatives and the government, sending clothes, food and tents as temporary places to stay. However, they don’t have any insurance to cover the loss and heavily rely on the help from other people.
We would like to quote Jeralyn’s words here:
“Despite all the calamities happening in the country (typhon, floods, earthquakes etc.) and the world (pandemic), we are very thankful that we are all still alive and healthy.”
Recovery from this fire incident is a long journey. Although Jeralyn is positive like she always is, your support and donation will help her get through this difficult period!
