PLEASE HELP MY DAD
On the night of April 3rd, 2018, my Dad, Vaughn Meiners was in a serious motorcycle accident. He has been riding since he was 18, and this is the first time he's been an accident. He has since been in the Intensive Care Unit, and has already undergone multiple surgeries - and has a few more surgeries pending.
He has some bleeding on his brain, a broken sternum and his entire right side of his rib cage is fractured. His pelvis is broken as well, and his entire right leg, ankle and foot are shattered - needing to be reconstructed. At this time, he is still disoriented - having little awareness of his surroundings, and he has no memory of the accident.
I started this GoFundMe page to help raise money for the hospital bills and the after hospital rehabilitation costs. We recently discovered that my Dad has no health insurance, (as he just started a new job), and without insurance, he wont be able to affort the hospital bills, and he won't be able to afford the after-care he needs to get back on his feet again.
My Dad is a 61 year old single father of two - myself and my brother Alex. All of our lives, he has done everything he could to provide for us. We love him dearly. AND, he's the kind of man who helps out others as well.
ANY donation will help. A little can add up to a lot - and can go a long way.
We just want to say, "Thank you" for giving whatever you can. Us kids just want our Dad to focus on his recovery without the burden of additional financial stress.
