Mace, Veteran's Wife Paralyzed - Truck Accident
Donation protected
It’s crazy how a split second can change a life forever.
On the evening of January 30th, Mace Thomas (Lujan) was driving on a rural road on the outskirts of Bonifay, Fl when a utility trailer dislodged from its truck going the opposite direction and struck her vehicle with such force it ripped the side off her car. Her spinal cord was severed. Only because of her fighting spirit was she able to survive.
Mace was air-lifted to Panama City where after a full day of surgeries, her neck and central nervous system were stabilized. She is currently in the ICU fighting for her life. The second fight is to be able to breathe on her own.
There is a long road to recovery. No matter what she will be living out the rest her days paralyzed.
Mace, the wife of a Richard, a U.S. Marine veteran who served as a counterinsurgency trainer, has incredible emotional support from her family, but will struggle to cover the unique medical and rehabilitation costs associated with this horrific accident.
With your help, they can have some relief from the stress of the financial impact. Richard spent his military career serving our country and we are hoping you can serve this family now. Thank you for your generosity.
