Hopelink Holiday Haircut

For a number of years I was the auctioneer at the Intellectual Ventures annual Hopelink Fundraiser, and now that I've left IV I want to do something to continue to help Hopelink.

Hopelink is a social services nonprofit agency that serves north and east King County, Washington, with food banks, energy assistance, housing, a family development program, transportation and adult education. Founded in 1971, it is one of the largest nonprofits in the state of Washington, employing about 275 people with an annual budget of about $61,000,000. Hopelink serves about 64,000 people every year.

What I am doing is a potential holiday haircut reveal. I've gone in a very, very different direction with my latest hair styling, but hidden it from view. My intent is that if I raise $1000 for Hopelink before Christmas, I will reveal the haircut to all. A fraction of the goal gets a fraction of the reveal- see the picture above for details. (If somehow we get to $2000 donations by Christmas, I will KEEP the haircut through my first Issaquah City Council meeting on Monday, January 4th.)
