Our dear friend, Michele' Mims, had a hemorrhagic stroke on March 8, 2018. Praise God that He gave Michele' the discernment to go to the hospital because she sensed something was wrong. While at ARMC, she suffered the stroke while 3 to 4 specialists were running tests (MRIs, CAT scans, etc) to try and understand exactly what was going on and what they needed to do to help save her life. The doctors, nurses, and specialists at ARMC realized that Michele' would have the best rate of survival and healing if she was life-flighted to Duke. Therefore, they immediately lifeflighted her from ARMC to DUKE, where she stayed in the Intensive Care Unit for 5 days with round the clock care from the sweet nurses, awesome doctors, and her precious family & friends. Due to Michele's hemorrhagic stroke, she has no peripheral vision in her left eye, she has severe headaches that will continue until the blood that collected in her brain is absorbed by the rest of her body, she has physical therapy-occupational therapy-visual acuity therapy at least 3-5 times each week, she is unable to drive for 6-12 months, and she is unable to work for at least 6-12 months. Michele' is currently living with family and has not been left alone since March 8th due to her high risk of falling. Michele' is a single woman who is self employed. She currently is in good spirits and knows that this chapter in her life will be a huge part of her future testimony; but she needs our prayers, our thoughts, our helping hands, and our monetary support while she continues to rest and heal.
