Hi, my name is Stuart, husband of Cathy Kemp. Long story, but I'll do my best to encapsulate it.

A few weeks ago Cathy had been coughing, like me it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Then she was having blood appear in Went to Urgent Care and thought it was Pneumonia, so they prescribed a week of pills she took. At the end of it, she was still feeling probematic.
Back to Urgent Care, she was given a CT Scan and they discovered a mass at the very top of her lungs into her throat, which made it difficult to swallow,/ breathe Ordered a PET scan and bipopsy.

Went the Sunday for Covid Test as she needed for admission for biopsy. We went and did that and about 6 blocks from the test she was saying she felt dehydrated and lightheaded.

We went back to Urgent Care, explaing the situation. She was taken into nurses station ahead of others and the nurse made the call to send her to emergency.

We waited 4 hours before she was admitted, but the biopsy was moved up to the Monday. She was in a regular room and all good.
Wednesday morning she went to bathroom as normal and then had to pull nurses cord as she couldn't breathe. A Code Blue was issued and her heart briefly stopped. A couple ribs may have been broken as they got it started with compressions and while awake, they had to shove a breathing tube down her.

She has been IV Feeding for past couple of days and the tube for breathing is now on assist mode and there only so mass doesn't move over her airway again. The can't do a nasal tube feeding as they are worried in disrupting the mass so they are doing a GI or PEG Tube to stomach for better nutrition so they get strengthen her.

They have not announced stages of the Non Small Cell Lung Cancer which to me means they have caught it in the early stages and are best assessing it's removal. The are ruling our surgery as it is too risky in that area, so Chemotherapy and Radiation are the choices.

She has now been in hospital a week and no timeframe is known as to when she could look to outpatient treatment>

She has asked me to start this fund as the bills are going to be massive and the help is definitely needed.

I ask you either donate or share so more people know of this.

The prognosis going forward is very favorable, but the timeframe is really unknown.

Thank you for your help in any capacity.

I will update as I know.

Currently, besides me, she has other visitors coming in and we are not overwhelming her on that regard so she can rest and get better.

The picture above is one of her favorites with Bert Prentice, promoter in Tennessee who passed from cancer two years ago, The picture is of "Bert's Girls" with Cathy in the purple top next to Bert.

Thank you again for your help and concern.
