Hope for Sterling

Sterling was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on December 19, 2013. One week later we found out she tests positive for the Philadelphia chromosome, which is exceedingly rare in children. The Philadelphia chromosome is a mutation that makes chemotherapy useless against the cancer, it changes everything! She is now considered the highest risk and her best hope is an experimental medicine that can isolate the mutation long enough for the chemotherapy to work. She will also need 4 times more intensive chemotherapy than standard risk ALL. I am a single Mother, we are away from our home receiving treatment which means we have no income. I would like to be able to focus on Sterling's treatment and recovery, knowing we were financially stable and could maintain our home life........because when this is over, we want a home to come back to.
