Brooke, my cousin's 8-year old daughter living in Connecticut, was diagnosed with DIPG (a rare form of brain cancer in the pons area) in December 2015. Since then, she and her family have been looking for treatments that will bring hope for her to live a normal life. Brooke was part of an experimental trial at the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York to which she responded very well.

However, at the end of her treatments, the tumor had not completely disappeared nor shrunk enough. Unfortunately there was no other approved treatment in the US that could further improve her condition.

Her parents did not give up and after much research they found a hospital in Monterrey, Mexico where treatments are very promising for children with DIPG. Brooke has since had 4 treatments there and the MRI's showed an important reduction of the tumor. Each treatment is $16,000 and NOT covered by their insurance. This is why I would like, with your help, to contribute to future treatments.
