Insurance DENIED RADIATION PLS HELP

UPDATED - Insurance - Florida Blue Cross has RECENTLY denied my dad LIFE-SAVING radiation for a cancer tumor that is pressing onto his heart.  He has a 5 inch blood clot due to the cancer tumor, but insurance is only approving standard radiation.  My dad CANNOT do standard radiation as that will spray his heart, lungs and bronchus with radiation and is NOT 3D image guided, meaning standard radiation will cause him heart failure and severe, permanent esophagitis where he cannot swallow food, meaning standard radiation will be DETRIMENTAL TO HIM!  The tumor is pressing on the right atrium of his heart and right ventricle, partially collapsing it so far.  In July, he spent 1 week in hospital due to a 5 inch blood clot from the SVC syndrome caused by the tumor pressing onto his heart.  As of 8/17 his tumor is no longer stable and has BEEN GROWING SINCE 8/17 with chemo!!!!  This means it is pressing more on his heart and WILL COLLAPSE his heart ventricle causing IMMEDIATE cardiac arrest if he doesn't get approved for LIFE-SAVING IMMEDIATE IMRT RADIATION TO STOP THE TUMOR GROWTH ON HIS HEART!!!!!  Insurance, Florida Blue Cross, HAS DENIED his radiation oncologist's request for IMRT (3D image guided) Radiation and will ONLY approve standard radiation, meaning it is NOT image guided and will SPRAY his heart with a ton of radiation and his bronchus and lungs, causing MORE DAMAGE to him than helping him!!!   His doctor will NOT do standard radiation on my dad because it will be detrimental to him, leaving my dad sitting now FIVE weeks now WITHOUT life-saving radiation he needs to fight CANCER and STOP the growth pressing onto and collapsing his heart!!  We did a 28 page patient appeal - DENIED, doctor did TWO appeals of medical necessity - DENIED stating NOT medically NECESSARY!!! HOW DARE YOU FLORIDA BLUE!!!!  Florida Blue Cross thinks it is ACCEPTABLE guidelines to cause my dad heart failure with standard radiation because they don't want to pay the difference for IMRT 3D guided radiation that would SPARE his heart damaging radiation!!!  How many people has this been done to?!  When will this stop!?  People work their entire lives and pay insurance premiums, only to be DENIED life-saving treatments when their LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!  If you are able, please donate towards helping my dad receive the radiation he needs to live - and if you cannot PLEASE make noise and get word out that this is not ACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My father will die while waiting for insurance to approve TREATMENT HE NEEDS TO FIGHT AND LIVE!!!  THIS IS AN INJUSTICE!!  THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!  THIS HAS TO END!!!!!!!
