Help for my disabled sister

READ TO THE END IT GETS SERIOUS.

I am writing this appeal because my sister is in a very bad situation and she is too embarrassed to ask for help.

Her name is Danielle and pardon the cliché, but she really does have a heart of gold. She would run to the end of the Earth for someone in need. She will give you her last piece of bread if you are hungry and a shirt from her own back if you are cold. She always has a smile and a kind word for everyone. She will laugh with you, she will cry with you and she will grieve with you.

First off I want to list all of the medical difficulties Danielle is facing so it is clear before you continue reading. Aswell as having lost all of her teeth after a major car accident, she is now left having carers attend her home 3 times a day to help her with basic needs. Fof someone like Danielle who used to be larger than life, always travelling and being spontaneous, this literally is a bitter pill to swallow.

• PCOS- Danielle has PCOS, meaning she has slight chance of conceiving along with a lot of other complications leave her feeling so so sad.
• Under-Active Thryoid- Danielle also has an under-active thyroid which contributes to her weight gain and extra medication needed every day.
• Whiplash injury to neck and shoulders- Danielle has a severe whiplash injury that causes her severe pain daily.
• Fibromyalgia - Danielle has fibromyalgia, and for people who don't understand what this is, this causes danielle to only be able to stand for 20 seconds at a time without severe pain and is on constant medication for it.
• Cluster migraines (Chronic)- Danielle is suffering from constant migraines that medication only alleviates for a few hours, then the migraines continue.

Danielle is in constant pain from the minute she wakes up to the minute she falls asleep. She doesn't get a break, she is unable to walk and unable to care for herself due to all the illnesses she has. She takes around 28 tablets PER DAY for her pain and her illnesses which is no life to be living.

Her carers attend her home 3 times a day as stated before, but the only problem is these carers are paid out of Danielle's own money. She is on such a low income, obviously unable to work and only on disability benefits. She has to pay for someone to care for her as all her family live abroad. Her life is sitting in bed 24/7 and she is seriously suffering.

Danielle is raising funds to be able to afford a full set of teeth as she is so conscious of the way she looks at the moment and before her accident her smile lit up an entire room. She is also raising funds for a mobility scooter so she can have some  sort of independence and be able to leave the house if she wants or needs  to.

THIS IS WHERE IT GETS VERY SAD.

Danielle was conned out of £200,000, by someone she called her wife. Danielle's wife, soon to be ex-wife, conned her out of £200k and made her life a living hell. She has been left in debt and unable to return to visit her family in Israel because of this.

There is a whole explanation of this story on Danielle's tiktok which is -  @dodabutterfly

There is only so many characters I can write in this story box, so for all the information on the money danielle was conned out of, please do visit her page and watch all of her personal videos.

She cares deeply about all the living creatures on this planet, she rescues animals since she was a little child until present day. Our home was always a zoo, because Danielle would find an injured or abandoned animal and would bring them home. She loves nature, she used to be a real outdoors person. On a whim she would just grab a backpack and go camping or hiking or climbing a mountain. She loved cars and motorbikes, sky diving and bungee jumping. She used to be a diver and worked with marine life. She was always passionate about cooking, trying different foods and experiencing different cuisines. Her dream was to be a vet, to open a sanctuary for tigers in Africa, to travel the world and experience different cultures as they really are. Unfortunately it was not meant to be.

Danielle was a passenger in a car accident and she will have to live with the aftermath of it for the rest of her life. She is a young woman and this car accident has not only destroyed her body, but also destroyed her dreams and turned her life into a living hell. Her appearance drastically changed for the worse, she is treated differently, people also make rude comments and mock her. She had an amazing smile that can light up the room, but recently all her teeth were surgically removed due to them being smashed in that car accident. She cannot properly eat, she is embarrassed to talk, let alone smile.

She has to take a lot of strictly regulated medication every day. She finds it hard to focus most days, and on some days she cannot even get out of bed because of the pain or because her limbs are not responding due to nerve damage she has sustained in the car accident.

My sister is very kind and strives to help anyone in need. She is also very trusting and fell for thieves that saw vulnerability and used deceit to con her out of all her money. As a result she is now considered a vulnerable person by the Police’s Special Victim Unit.

Most of her friends turned their back on her, because she can no longer go out or share the same activities they like due to restrictions of her physical condition and pain. She is exhausted physically and mentally, she is having nervous breakdowns nearly every day because of the isolation and the pressure of her financial situation.

She is disabled, she cannot work and she has no means of supporting herself at the moment. She cannot make ends meet, companies are chasing her for money.

I am well and truly terrified she will end up on the streets!

My sister is on the verge of being homeless, she owes rent and her landlord has taken her to court. She is late on her bills and will be cut off from gas, electricity and water any day now. Her health is changing for the worse rapidly and she needs physiotherapy and a chiropractor to ease the agonizing pain and slow down the deterioration of her health. There are no specialists that can help her where she lives, it is a 10 hours journey one way. She cannot afford treatments, and on top of that she will have to find accommodations, because she won’t be able to go back and forth.

She is living in pure agony, she is in constant pain in all of her body, with shooting pain that feels like an electric shock. She is having head splitting migraines, light and sound are unbearable. She is suffering from insomnia and fatigue and even if she manages to sleeps the whole night she wakes up exhausted. Her joints and ligaments are constantly inflamed, especially in the knees, pelvis and back. Her legs are constantly swollen. It is difficult for her to walk, for the past 6 months a five minute walk for her is barely possible. I fear that soon she will be in a wheelchair.

She spends most of her day sitting on the floor, she is stiff most of the time and gets severe spasms in different parts of her body. Her joints dislocate easily even from ordinary movements. Her hands are shaking, sometimes so bad that she can’t hold anything. Her hands get cramped when she is texting, so she can only write a few sentences at best. Her limbs go numb and she gets stuck with no ability to move while sitting, standing, walking or lying down. She misses important appointments because she cannot move.

Simple everyday tasks like brushing her own hair, taking a shower or a bath are no longer possible for her. She loves to cook, but now she cannot prepare even a simple meal. She has problems with eating and digesting food, she often feels nauseated. She eats like a bird, but she is gaining weight rapidly without any connection to her eating patterns. She has trouble remembering things and it is like she is in a fog. She even forgets to eat or to drink and she is suffering from blood sugar drops. Her medication is drying up all of her mucous membranes (mouth, nose, eyes, private regions) and they crack and bleed. There is no saliva and because of that she cannot use false teeth even with the glue.

Her thinking and memory got affected. It is hard for her to concentrate and keep attention, her speech gets slurred and confused. After the accident she has trouble reading people, their emotions and intentions and became an easy target for con artists and dishonest people. She no longer understands social ques.

This list is far from complete, but I cannot disclose certain things which affect every aspect of her life. She is waiting for her disability to be recognized, but while the bureaucratic machine’s wheels are turning Danielle is left without any means of supporting herself. Her life’s savings are gone, family and friends are doing their best to help her out, but it’s still not enough. She is an extremely decent person, she would never cheat or lie, but she was taken advantage of numerous times and she cannot cope with the situation it has left her in.

The sum of money my sister needs to survive and float just that little bit closer to the surface of the water seems so huge that she sees no way out. She needs £18,000 but at the moment we are asking for £5,000 just to put out fires. Either way we thank you for every penny! My sister has no means of gathering that much money and the thought itself terrifies her, her family and her true friends.

Danielle used to love life and she was always positive, but now she is severely depressed. She is suffering from panic attacks, anxiety and irritability. She feels like a caged animal and she suffers from outbursts of anger and lashes out. She mourns the loss of the life she was supposed to have. She has still not accepted that her dreams will never come true.

My sister is a very strong and independent person, but everybody has a breaking point and I fear that Danielle is extremely close to hers. She has lost her spark and love for life because of all the pressure and stress.

She is collapsing and it is heartbreaking!

I am hoping that her dire situation will touch someone and pray that you will not stay indifferent! Please help me show my sister that there are still good and compassionate people in the world and that there is still hope!

I wish to thank you in advance for any help you may give, even if it’s just sharing her story!

This is what she was like before the car accident

And this is how she looks like now
