Hope for John and Lori

Lori and I have been friends for 50 years. Because life is what it is, we don't get to see each other as much as we would like. But when we do talk it's like we were never apart. We've watched each others kids grow up, shared our joys and sorrows. Lately Lori and John have had a rough hand dealt to them . John fell and suffered a brain injury that left him unable to work full time. They applied for SSI for him, kept getting denied and even got a lawyer. In May John was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and Small Cell lymphomatic leukemia. I suggested a go fund me page when Lori told me about that, but Lori and John were hesitant to ask others for assistance. Ever since then Lori has been working 7 days a week to pay the bills, they have been falling behind on their mortgage, and sometimes they don't have money for food. Even after all of this, Lori and John never asked for help. Tonight Lori messaged me from the hospital. She was awaiting  emergency surgery because they found a mass on her colon that the doctor suspects is cancer. This leaves her unable to work and they need help now more than ever. The most immediate need is to pay the arrears on the mortgage- about $3000. With both unable to work, bills continuing to pile up, and the need to put food on the table anything you can donate will help.
