Hello Friends and Family,
Most of you have heard by now that I have been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema. There is no cure for this disease. There are a few options that I have been given by physicians. The first would involve a lifetime of medications which limits my daily functions. The second is a lung transplant that involves radical surgery and has a low life expectancy of 5-7 years. The third and what I believe to be the best option is stem cell therapy. It is non-invasive, shows good promise with over an 80% success rate, and most importantly, offers hope. It would use my own stem cells and would refine them and put them back into my body. The procedure costs $12,000. I am traveling to Scottsdale, Arizona for the procedure which lasts two days and is taking place on the 19th-20th of this month.
The goal is to raise this money by the 12th of September so that I would be able to afford the procedure.
