Hope for Huntre

Spende geschützt
Huntre is a wonderful 9 year old boy who is in for the fight of his life.  In January of this year, he began having serious physical symptoms - severe headaches, loss of coordination, vision problems and shakiness. Huntre was sent by ambulance from Windsor's Met Hospital to London's Sick Kids Hospital, where he stayed for several months. He endured countless MRIs, spinal taps, scans and medical procedures. He was treated for what the doctors thought was Lyme Disease, and then for an autoimmune disorder.  After his symptoms worsened this summer, further testing showed that Huntre did not have Lyme disease. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma Brain Cancer, a rare brain cancer with no cure. The prognosis for Huntre was very discouraging.  This past August, he underwent 3 major surgeries on his brain, all within days of each other.  During this time,  it was touch and go, and the doctors did not think he would survive.  Huntre has defied all odds, and has fought incredibly hard. This fall, he endured 5 day-a-week radiation therapy for 6 consecutive weeks.  Last week, Huntre began a 10-month chemotherapy regiment that has left him very ill.  Additional tests show 2 more tumours that the doctors will have to remove. His mom Lisa is supporting 3 other children. She has been a pillar of strength for Huntre, never once leaving his side, and continuously advocating for him. Lisa is facing financial difficulties as she has been unable to work.  We are hoping this Go Fund Me page will bring awareness to this family’s tragic situation.  No donation is too small. We are forever grateful for any contribution that will allow Lisa and the family to focus on Huntre’s quality of life, and to enjoy the time they have with him. Please take a moment to share this campaign in support of Huntre and his family. Thank you.
