Hope for Helayna

Donation protected
2020 has been a terrible unkind year to lot of people. But were going to end this one high note and hopefully  being able to give back to this well deserving little family. This beautiful young  girl named Helayna  Dawn  Bloom.
Was diagnosed with cancer on June 8, 2020.  And the Lakehouse  in Mitchell ,SD  is  having a benefit on December 19th 2020 from 6 to 8pm.  For a few days leading up to June 8th, she was going to bed alot earlier than normal and just seemed really tired throughout the day which was really unlike her. The day before she got her diagnosis she woke up with a nosebleed that took around an hour to stop and all of the color just drained out of her. She was taken to urgent care in Cheyenne and their lab was down so they told her to get lab work done at the hospital. It was around 6pm and Helayna actually seemed to be feeling a bit better so she waited until the following day to get lab work done. Her family went to the grocery store to get a few things for dinner.  Laci (Helayna's  mom) got a call telling her  that she needs to take Helayna to the emergency room immediately.  They got everyone loaded up into the van and headed to the hospital. Once  they got into the emergency room everything was alla blurr. All Laci  really remembers is being told her child has cancer and needs to be taken by ambulance to Denver. She had 2 blood transfusions in the ER and received more blood and platelets through the night when they got to Denver. By the time they got there it's like 3am and were being held in the ER there to make sure Helayna doesn't have covid. Everyone was  exhausted by the time we get up to a room and fell asleep pretty quickly. The next day after a mountain of paperwork Helayna started her treatment and continued in Denver up until around the 12th of July when They decided to continue treatment at the Castle in Sioux falls. She's done really well throughout everything, all the chemo, the lumbar punctures, the finger pokes, the steroids and the antibiotics that she has to take every weekend for the entirety of her treatment. She gets tired more easily but still always has a sense of humor and a smile on her face. So more recently, we got some unfortunate news that Helayna has cancer cells in her spinal fluid again so she's had an isolated CNS relapse, and will be receiving CAR T-cell therapy in Denver around Christmas.

Please Donate if you can ,  please just share if you can't.  Please join at the Lakehouse on December 19th from 6 to 8 for a hot chocolate bar and Christmas  Carols  all the proceeds will go directly to the family.
