In these trying times, thousands of people work every day to keep us safe. Especially with COVID-19 infiltrating our economy, these people work even harder. These people we talk about are front line workers. Our names are Ainsley Selle and Savannah Mendenhall. Our mission is to show these front line workers our appreciation by raising money to buy goods from local businesses with the intention of bringing hope and happiness to the many workers in our county. Small business owners have struggled in this time as well, so by buying these goods from local small businesses, we will be supporting both front line workers and the local economy.
Both of us admire how hard all of the front line workers are working, especially right now. They will work for days and days trying their very hardest to keep our small town protected and also allowing us to partake in activities safely that other places are not able to participate in. Savannah’s dad works as a front line worker and she hopes to become one as well, which makes this project personal for her. Ainsley’s father and mother both work as a superintendent and teacher at Meeker School District and, after seeing how hard they worked, realized that these front line workers could use a little surprise and hope in their lives. She also finds one of her passions in helping people and bringing joy to them.
With that being said, we would greatly appreciate it if you could donate towards our cause. As Nelson Mandela once said, “There can be no greater gift than that of giving one's time and energy to help others without expecting anything in return."
NOTE: The funds raised go into a bank account ran by Michelle Selle. We will use these funds to buy food and goods as well as cater meals for front line workers.
