Hoopside Basketball Team Travel (Tyrone Lee)

Two years ago with the encouragement and assistance of my awesome wife, I started my own youth basketball team. The name of our team is Hoopside Connection, our goal is to make life long positive connections through hoops.  My goal was to bring together a group of young men to help them grow and mature through their high school years, and each year add another group. I started the team with my own money and a few donations from family and friends. In 2019, I was able to work with and mentor a great group of young men. My plan was to build on this in 2020, but the pandemic did not allow me to move forward in the second year. Now two years later we are back at square one, but I am blessed to be able to work with these young men again, as well as add a few new gentleman to the group.  I am looking to provide them with some experiences that will allow the to explore new cities and environments outside of Chicago. The money received from this fundraiser will allow us to go on trips this summer and pay for travel and lodging. I truly believe that being able to step outside of the city and even their own neighborhood will open their minds up to a new world of ideas and experiences. The funds will be used for late June and July.   Please take time to consider making a donation.
