Project Hoop is raising funds to go back to the refugee camps in Greece.
I have lots of hoops stock piled over there, and have been told I can do more workshops, I have also been invited to do some with Circus Aid.
I want to return and do more in the summer (July) this year.
For my first project £370 of this was used, and helped make it a reality.

Hoops for Humanity was set up by Rochene Johnston -Project Hoop. I completed this in April 2018
The aim is to make and collect hoops and take them to a refugee camps in Greece. There I will give Hulahoop workshops and donate the hoops to the camps and charity, so that they can continue to have fun and learn.
These people's futures are uncertain, they may never go home, they can’t. Their homes and possessions are gone, their country is in chaos. Their families and their lives are in pieces. These camps are a limbo for these children.
All the things you had as a child, they don't have. As it stands, they have no prospects, it is hard to be a child in such an unstable environment.
Hoop for humanity won't and can't change that. But what it can do is given them an opportunity to be children again, give them some fun, give them something that is a change from the cruel realities they face, and give them some circus, which they can take away and have fun with.
They can play, learn and be children again.
This doesn’t have to stop here, we would love to set up a charity next year, and take Hoops for Humanity to other places. The sky is the limit.
We have the following hula hoopers and hoop organisations already on board; we are looking for more:

Punky hoops
Tooka hoops
Hulala hoopers
You can donate hoops, or hoop making materials. You can donate money, or put on fundraisers to raise for us.
You can come along to the camp and be part of this generosity.
You can help us teach, entertain and hearten these children. I'm sure they won't forget us, and I know we will not forget them.
Donations will help make this project a reality, the more we raise, the more I can do.
This project doesn’t need to stop here either, we can do the same for refugees in the UK and other countries.
So far this is Hoops for Humanity’s plan. We land on Tuesday 3/4/18 -
Monday is refugee youth service and eleonas, thursday is khora and eleonas, friday we will do some trips out to various refugee locations, or local parks where they will meet with us.
I will be doing back to back workshops and donating lots of hoops to the camps and charities, so that they can continue to learn.
We have joined forces with the free skateboard movement.

I am hoping to revisit again at some point to give them further workshops.
We have a fundraiser in Birmingham on Saturday and one in York in a couple of weeks. Check out there local Hoop pages for details.
