Honoring Sydney: Aid for Funeral and Medical Costs

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of our beautiful Sydney Elizabeth Loop. She was involved in a life-altering car accident which resulted in extensive and unrecoverable trauma to her brain. Sydney was declared brain dead the following day, on April 26, 2024. Sydney was just 2 1/2 weeks shy of her 18th birthday.

A senior at Casa Roble High School, Syd (as she was known lovingly to her friends and family), achieved academic recognition as a 4.0 student. Syd was preparing for her upcoming prom, awards ceremonies, senior sunset, and of course graduation. Sydney was graceful from years of gymnastics, showed great talent as a woodworker and artist, ran track, was a little pool shark, a fish out of water, and basically excelled at everything she put her mind to.

Sydney was a shining star and an old soul. She always wore a beautiful smile on her face and spread positivity, love and light to everyone she encountered. As her final characteristically unselfish gift to the world, Syd is an organ donor and will be helping countless individuals to carry on and complete all the milestones she dreamed of. While her loss is truly devastating to us, her legacy seems rather fitting as it comes from one of the most generous and loving souls we know.

This is every parent’s worst nightmare. We are setting up this campaign in an effort to help her mother, Christine, and her father Robert, with the countless medical bills and funeral costs that come with losing a child.

On behalf of the family, and her beautiful and always protective older siblings, Katie and Kaylee, we thank you for all of the prayers and support. We’d also like to extend an additional thank you to the community and first responders that didn't hesitate to come to Sydney’s aid in her moment of need. You truly are heroes to us.
