Honoring Michael Clark - children's college fund

On Wednesday, July 20th, the unthinkable happened. In the afternoon, two military officers arrived at my door to give me the devastating news that my husband, Master Sergeant E8 Michael Clark, had died during a training exercise in Georgia. His death was a tragic accident and has already changed our lives tremendously. I always knew the risks of marrying a serviceman - especially one like Mike. He had been deployed four times with multiple other missions all over the world, had taken assignments that surely put his life on the line every day. But still, his love for his country, his devotion to providing for our family, and his sheer passion for doing what he loved moved him without reservation.

Of course, even knowing the risks never prepared me to lose my partner of almost 20 years, my best friend, and the father to our children, Logan and Hailey. Mike was my rock, and I relied on him wholly. It is hard to imagine my life without him. Yet, here I am.

Mike’s priority, beyond his country, was his family. He gave us a life filled with adventure, love, and security, and we hope that his dreams for our children will continue to come true. We are lucky to benefit from the GI Bill, and so grateful to receive this support from the military and our country, however, these benefits will not fully cover college tuition for Logan and Hailey. We are hoping that this GoFundMe page will help us to ensure their future education.
