Honoring John-Paul Kilanski

If you are seeing this, chances are you knew my brother in law, John Paul Kilanski.  He was many things - a proud veteran of Iraqi Freedom, a 16 year paramedic/Firefighter with Algonquin Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District, son, brother, friend...and father to his three beautiful boys.  At 38, he departed this earth far before his time.

JP passed away suddenly on July 22nd, leaving his boys without their father and huge hole in the family where he was supposed to be for many, many years.  Because his death was so sudden and unexpected, we are running this to raise money to help his family pay for his final expenses.  JP lived for his boys, and I grieve that they will have to grow up without him.

One of my favorite memories of JP was when my oldest son was only three months old, and he dressed up like Santa Claus JUST for him.  Not because he would remember but, but just because it was fun and he wanted to make him happy.  

If nothing else, please leave a message letting us know what he meant to you and what your favorite memory of him was.  He will be missed very much and was taken entirely too soon.  

The funeral is set for Monday, July 30th and the funds will be managed by his parents, Rose and Jan.
