Our beautiful mother Wendy, is currently fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was diagnosed in October 2024, and since then, she has faced every challenge with grace and strength. Wendy now has a large visible mass on her neck and additional masses throughout her stomach. She is in need of continued medical attention for blood, fluids, and pain management, and is currently being cared for at Albany Medical Center, where she is as comfortable as possible in her final days.
At this time, Wendy is unable to care for herself, and our family is focused on surrounding her with love and comfort. She expressed one last wish—to wait until her “Maine girls” arrived at her bedside. Family members have been traveling from near and far, some as close as 30 minutes away and others driving over 7 hours, to be with her during this sacred time.
For those who know Wendy, you know she is the most dedicated mother, the sweetest soul, and one of the most down-to-earth people you could ever meet. And for those who haven’t had the honor of knowing her—if only you could’ve, because she had a way of touching lives just through her words and presence.
As we navigate these heartbreaking days, we are reaching out to the community for support. The financial burden of travel expenses, meals, lost work time, stays, and other end-of-life needs has become overwhelming. Any amount you can give will go directly toward ensuring Wendy’s wishes are honored and that her loved ones can be by her side without worry.
Please keep Wendy and our family in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for showing compassion and love for a woman who has given so much of it to others.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
