Honor Linelle Kayona's Wishes Fund

Aloha everyone. We want to first and foremost thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support that you have shared with us from the passing of my mom~Linelle Kayona aka Honey Girl June 3,1960-August 22nd 2017. She just turned 57 a few months ago. My mom was born in Molokai and raised in Palolo Valley. My mom was an amazing, sweet, compassionate soul. She loved our family so much. She also loved and cared for her friends and family deeply and often times would share her concern and prayers for their well being with my husband Kaina and I. Some of her fondest memories were growing up and spending endless times at the wall in Waikiki, Oahu. Her wishes, should anything ever happen was to have her remains spread there in Oahu and to have a celebration at the beach for her. We would like to fulfill her wishes by doing just that. The funds raised would go towards the following:
-Cremation/Urn
-Plane tickets to and from Hawaii for our family of 4
-A place to stay while preparing for Mom's celebration .
-Ticket for Mom's remains for flight
-Rental Car
-Floral arrangements/ loose flowers for the water
-Food. Beverages, etc... for Beach Celebration of Life held at Kailua Beach Park (Another fond memory of my mom)
-Permit for Beach
*Our plan is to have her cremation done this week,
followed by a Las Vegas Celebration of Life on Sept 16th, 2017-further details will come once we solidify date we get mom's remains from mortuary
*We will then have a Celebration of Life for mom in Oahu at Kailua Beach Park on December 9th 2017 with family and friends.
*We will sail mom out to the appropriate distance from shore of Waikiki Beach Walls, and spread her ashes with lose Gardenias (her favorite flower) on December 10th or 11th. Will confirm as date gets closer.
Our goal is to reach funding goal of $7,000 by October, so that we have enough time to make all proper arrangements.
