Homeless single mom robbed on black Friday

I run a transitional living Homeless Shelter for single moms and their children...This is for one of our Mom's who was robbed of her wallet on "Black Friday"
I am angry, because I am dealing with the fallout from the repeated victimization of a single mother led family in our shelter who are here LEGALLY from other countries, that have been mercilessly prayed upon by people and companies in our area. They are truly homeless because of this... they are here because they were lied to repeatedly and lost everything.
This mother has been working 6-7 days a week in a seasonal job to earn the money to dig herself out of the hole she got into- and took her teenaged daughter and 3 year old to East Town Mall on "Black Friday" only to have her purse stolen. Their social security cards, state IDs, work permit, Green Cards, asylum papers, child care assistance card and a weeks pay ($400) were all taken at once when someone snatched the mom's purse... this will take months to get together again, and days off of work standing in line at different state and federal agencies to apply for and money she had saved to pay other things off will have to go towards the fees for re-issuing these items.
They made a police report, but they were pretty dubious that it would be recovered. This is a family that has had their lives threatened in their own country, only to come here and get hit again and again by predators of one kind or another, causing their homelessness and now loss of almost everything they need to feel safe.
So yes, I am angry.... SFTSM will do all we can to try to help them rebuild... AGAIN... What I want to know is HOW do these people sleep at night? The con artists, thieves and predatory company owners/employees... do they ever think about what they are doing to families who are just trying to make a humble, hardworking and safe life here? From those of us who have to see the embarrassed, heartbroken or freaked out faces, wipe away the tears, stand in countless lines and waste countless hours rebuilding with them.... SHAME ON YOU!
