Heart Surgery and More....

Donation protected
Hello and thank you for reading. I am not used to asking people for help. Especially strangers. But I am sharing my story in hopes of getting some much needed help for the road I have ahead.

I have worked most of my life. Starting at the age of 14 and being homeless at a very young age due to being abused as a child. I did not get the best start at life and was not able to get a higher education so my jobs have always been that of hard labor or anything I could get. I enlisted in the Military at 18 and was forced to leave because of unknown heart issues.

I have always prided myself on my work ethic and after my 40 year marriage and losing everything I owned I found myself having to start over. I finally landed a great job and then
2 weeks ago something was wrong with my insides and pain began to develop that would take down even superman. After driving to the hospital emergency room , it came down to a micro perforation of the colon and mild heart attack with artery blockage in legs.
I have been diagnosed with Burgada Syndrome.
Technology today has finally told me what the problem has been my whole life and something I just learned to deal with. Well, I can’t jist deal with it anymore. I need a defibrillator inserted in my chest to avoid sudden heart stoppage.
This is not cardiac arrest.  The heart just stops and I pass out. When this has happened before it was blamed on low blood sugar. When my body passed out before and I would fall  and from what the doctor told me the fall actually kick started me back.
I need the heart surgery soon and after that is another surgery to repair colon and will follow with stints being put in arteries in my legs.
I have no medical insurance as I just started a new job. Social Security  is a joke even after working over 40 years of my life and well most of the financial aid benefits out there don’t seem to fall into the category of an older man.

I thought I had a girlfriend to be by my side during this catastrophe.  We were together 3 1/2 years. Making plans and happy times.
When I was discharged from hospital it was with understanding she would be there to help.
Well as we were driving back at the turn off point I turned and she went on by. I Did not hear from her for 2 days after telling me she can’t take care of me and herself as well. She has no health problems that I am aware of but I guess decided this was all to much. I am not even supposed to drive. My kids are adults and love far away.
So here I am begging people so I can find a place for myself and my cats to live during the healing of my body. I will never be healed from the Burgada Syndrome but the defibrillator will hopefully do it’s job and keep me going.  My employer has already asked for me to turn in my keys and uniforms as well so I guess that means once I am healed I will begin looking for a low stress job of that even exists. I am doing everything I can and please if you know of some services out there that can help reach out to me.
I will pray and beg for the help that is so truly needed for my cats and I. Thank you again for any help anyone chooses to offer.
