Homegoing for Wanda Jean Evans

Beschermde donatie
It's with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend,  Wanda Jean Evans who passed away on January 12, 2018. Wanda was loved dearly by everyone who knew her. Upbeat, caring, and loving, Wanda always put others before herself.  Wanda was such  a giving person who had a very optimistic look on life. Her faith in God was very dear to her. Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, she also spent some of her childhood in Youngstown, Ohio. Wanda later moved to Plaquemine, Louisiana to care for her ailing grandfather in the late 90s. Shortly after the passing of her grandfather she gave her life to Christ and made Baton Rouge her new home. She was a very active member at the Church of Baton Rouge. She loved to laugh and enjoyed the company of others. She was a music connoisseur and loved to cook. She was preceded in death by her father Samuel Crockett and her mother Dorothy L Smith. She is survived by her daughter Dione Crockett, son Martinez Evans, granddaughter Cierra Crockett, great grandchildren Trent and Trinity Morris; and her sisters and brothers , Betty Cone, Coye McAllister, her twin brother Samuel Crockett , Donald Crockett(Cynthia), Zeniford Crockett, Valeria Stanley, Aaron Smith, Karen Wells(Rundy),  a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends. Please keep her children Dione Crockett and Martinez Evans , her grandchildren, and our family in your prayers.
