Home for heroes, Inc. is a community development corporation organized in North Carolina and Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code. We are classified as a public charity. 501 (c) (3).
WHO WE ARE
We began as a group of volunteers with a vision, commitment, and servant’s heart for the women who have served our country tirelessly. These women have given of themselves without wavering – their service and sacrifice warrant more than a word of thanks. We are dedicated to ensure they receive the care they need, support they earned, and housing they deserve.
OUR GOAL
We aim to provide a safe supportive residential community where women veterans can have direct access to necessary community resources, learn life skills, transition into permanent housing, leading to self-sufficiency.
OUR MISSION
To provide a safe and encouraging living environment for women veterans as they transition into their communities and regain ownership of their lives. We provide support in the areas of: community and economic development projects, neighborhood planning projects, microenterprises, community and housing impact grants, social services and veteran housing.
