Home BURNED in Grizzly Flats. Lost everything!

Hi. My name is Rob and I have set this up to help a friend of the family and his boys.

 

Derek is a single Dad, blue collar worker and had made a tough choice to live a couple hours away and rent a small bedroom away from his boys while working very hard to save up money to eventually move him and his boys into a place together again.

 

 

In the meantime the boys; Derek Jr. & Jaxon had been living with their grandmother in Grizzly Flats. Her and the boys home burned down overnight between 08/16-17/2021.

 

The grandmother and boys are currently at a hotel a couple hours away from "home". Derek sprung into action overnight taking the little bit of savings he had saved to get as many nights he could afford on into a hotel room and get them groceries. With all the fires raging and covid-19 concerns throughout California it has become very tough to find a room afford, find vacancy or even get to in an older, around town vehicle.

 

 

 

The boys & grandma have lost everything except for what they were wearing on their backs when they left the house last night. Their clothes, personal effects, toys, games, photos, school books, computers, items from when they were very small, you name it, ALL GONE. The grandmother is on a fixed income so there is no extra money to cover other than basic living in the home she had until and if insurance comes through whenever that might be.

 

The goal here is to help the boys and their grandmother grieve, regroup and allow Dad, Derek to help guide the way and make sure the boys and grandma are okay.

 

Give whatever you can, it will make a big difference for them at this of need. Remember these kids are without basics, clothes to wear, hygienic items, room and board, and school items and a handful of regular comforts kids need as they work through this very hard time in their lives.
