We are reaching out on behalf of our friend, Holly Hill de Barros.
Shortly after giving birth to Carmen, her second child, in February, Holly experienced severe and debilitating abdominal pain. During four hospital stays over the past eight months, Holly was diagnosed with C-Diff, CMV, and Ulcerative Colitis. Despite many rounds of antibiotics, steroids and other transfusions, nothing has helped. Her compromised health, resulting in financial hardship, has made it difficult for her to enjoy Carmen’s first year.
Desperate to feel better, she has decided to undergo surgery to remove her entire colon. It involves two surgeries, six weeks apart.
Both she and Mario have been unable to work consistently due to hospitalizations and her severe symptoms. After surgery, Holly will be on medical leave for twelve weeks. During this time she won't be able to lift either of the kids, requiring Mario to reduce his hours to care for Dante and Carmen.
Any donation amount will help ease the burden on Holly, Mario, Dante and Carmen. The funds donated will go toward Holly's medical bills and expenses while she is on medical leave.
