Hi its Jane ( Janie here) , my lovely husband Paul has a cancer called Multiple Myeloma , which is basically a cancer of the plasma cells in your bone marrow.
Currently Myeloma is incurable and classed as terminal ,however with the help of a Stem Cell Transplant it can help to push the Cancer into remission and extend life.
More information can be found here- https://www.myeloma.org.uk/information/what-is-myeloma/
Paul's due to go into hospital for a stem cell transplant in the next few weeks, the procedure has risk attached to it of course, ( what do we expect right!) and it will involve him staying in hospital for several weeks.
I would like to take him on holiday, to give him some good memories and also to help him recover when he comes our of hospital, after the Stem Cell Transplant. We could also do with help covering the costs of traveling to the hospital for visiting times as its around two hours away.
Pauls had a very difficult time with twice weekly Intensive Chemotherapy since January 2018 for the Multiple Myeloma . He also had bowel cancer which resulted in an eight hour operation in September 2016 and was admitted again in December due to a nasty infection spending much of December 2016 in hospital as a result. Plus three Pulmonary Embolisms so hes really not had much luck health wise and its been really hard watching the man I love and adore suffering so much.
Those of you who know Paul , will know that he is a kind, strong person, he never complains and does his best to just get on with things. I refer to Paul as my super hero as hes got that warrior fighting spirit. Paul's very fatigued and in pain but is still pushing ahead, doing the music that he loves ( he has his own band here www.skyeladder.net) and is so very very positive.
So thankyou for listening/reading any money raised will be utilised to take Paul away for a much needed holiday and travel expenses.
Thankyou so much in advance of your contributions we really appreciate it.
