Furkids was only one of two shelters in the metro-Atlanta area that did not shut its doors during Covid-19. They did witness an increase in adoptions and the foster care program is currently at an all-time high. On the flip side, they experienced a 300% spike in animal cruelty cases since Covid-19 with extreme medical cases like gun shot wounds and extensive burns. As a result, the emergency funds have been depleted. The money raised through this partnership will help rebuild the emergency medical funds—and in turn allow us to save more animals in need.
