Hockerill's Hair Donation
Tax deductible
Numerous girls from Hockerill will cut 7 inches of their hair in aid of charity. On June 20th 2019, , the girls will have at least a seven inch braid snipped from their hair by volunteer professional hair stylists at Hockerill Anglo-European College. The sponsorship funds will go to 'The Nancy Salmon Trust' and the numerous braids will be donated to 'The Little Princess Trust'. Both organisations alleviate the devastating impact of cancer, with wigs for children or support for patients.
We are fifteen and increasing in numbers daily but we want many more students from Hockerill to take part. Remember your hair will grow back, but for a young cancer patient undergoing treatment this is a gift that you can easily give. So come on, join us, cut your hair and raise some funds. Tempted, or thinking about it? Contact me via Teams (Arthur Littler)
We also happy to announce, we have a boy who will shave his hair to raise money for the charity.
If you are under 18 and wish to join us, you must have parental permission to take part.
The Nancy Salmon Trust funds training and resources to healthcare staff in North Essex to help those who are suffering from lymphoedema, a swelling in the body brought about by an impaired lymphatic system. A painful condition that develops in 25% of those who are treated for breast cancer with deep radiation. Read more about the charity here https://salmon64.com/.
Please note that a minimum of 7" must be donated and hair must either be undyed or dyed a natural colour. Full regulations can be found here, http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/donate-hair/
