Jason's Mission Trip to SouthAfrica

Donation protected

Next May (2015), I plan to go on a mission trip to South Africa.  I will be a member of a mission organizations team based out of Roswell, Georgia called Life Connection Ministries (lcm-ga.com ).  LCM has taken over 300 team members to the same area over the past fourteen years to reach out to the needs of the Xhosa and Zulu people.  We will teach the word of God while holding tent crusades each night for adults, youth and children. During the day, we will be praying for the sick in their homes, visiting the local children at the schools, working in the community greenhouse, encouraging the local pastors with daily workshops, and helping the Matthew Russell Foundation (mattrussell.org ) to place a library/media center in one of the “government run” schools.  I was told this means the worst possible conditions for education; the school's budget for basic necessities is nonexistent.  These schools do not have enough teachers, classroom space, desk and chairs for all the students. So LCM and MRF are excited to bring hope through reading.

I will be going to the rural areas of South Africa in the Eastern Cape.  I will be ministering in an area where they do not have running water, so they carry the water sometimes for miles.  LCM has drilled several water wells in the area, so that the people can have clean water to drink and also water to irrigate the community greenhouses they have provided.  Unemployment in this area is well over 65% where most people (mainly the children) do not eat a meal everyday.  They are among the poorest of the poor.

During this trip Life Connection Ministries will replenish the existing greenhouse with seedling plants for the local community. Their goal is to provide food and vegetables free of charge to the starving children and adults in the area.  During the day they provide fresh bread to every home they visit, and each night in the tents they are giving away something different like food parcels, clothing, toys and candy for kids. A major project will be to install library with reading material and the media components.  The goal is to bring hope, demonstrate Gods love and provide basic needs into this impoverished area.

I need your help!  I will need a lot of prayer over the next several months as I go through my training to be a part of this team. Please agree with me in prayer that I will hear the voice of God and complete my mission.  I would also ask you to help me financially. The cost to cover my airfare, food & lodging is approximately $3,000.  I have until March 2015 before the balance is due. Any amount that you can contribute would be a great blessing.  I know that God will use me in South Africa and that I will grow in my faith from this experience.

All contributions are tax deductible and nonrefundable. You can also make donation via website www.lcm-ga.com please reference my name as team member.

Thank you so much for helping me to be obedient to God,

Jason
