Heart transplant in Salt Lake City
Donation protected
Hello! I'm John Brandon and I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in November of 2007. Since then, I was able to treat it with various medications until June of 2014. Things then took a turn for the worse and I was hospitalized in Billings for ten days and then flown to The University of Utah in Salt Lake City where I recieved an L.V.A.D or a left ventricular assist device to keep me alive and relatively healthy. Thanks to an amazing group of doctors such as Dr. Apostol and Dr. Selzman and also an L.V.A.D. team to whom I am forever apprieciative of. The University has given me my life back and along with that, hope for the future. The care they have given me was better than anything I could ask for and look forward to having them in charge for the next step in my treatment, which is by means of a heart transplant. Unfortunatly, as you can imagine, it is very costly. I will have to move to Salt Lake to wait for a donor once all the testing is completed. The help I'm asking for will help pay for a place to live and various other expenses until my surgery that I'll have whilst I'm there. Anything i recieve will be VERY helpful! Thank you so much!
