Be the Blessing

I am blessed. Everyone says this from time to time.  My friend, Dean Combs, feels blessed every day she is here. On June 4, 2014 she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer and worse case, given 6 months to live. Being a very private person she told  very few people of her diagnosis. I convinced her to let her friends be there for her. For the past 5 months she has undergone extremely intense  chemotherapy. She was forced to go on short term disability due to the severe side effects of this treatment. They have now lessened the amount of chemo she is receiving, but this is due to the damage the chemo is having on her body NOT because she is improving! Dean's condition currently remains the same and they are reviewing additional treatment options. She is hopeful and continues to have faith that she will be able to survive this war. She is fighting the good fight!

However, now looking at long term disability, this battle has taken a toll on her finances as well. She is dealing with her battle to fight cancer as well as the battle to keep her home and pay her bills. This is something she cannot do alone. When I am able to help anothers reluctant to accept help I have told them, "Right now, I am blessed, so let me be the blessing".  With this in mind, this is what I am asking of you...

This beautiful lady is in need of help. Kind words of support and prayers are wonderful, but what we need to do is put our dollars together and relieve some of the financial stress in her life. She needs all the strenghth she has just to "Fight the Good Fight" each day. So, I am asking you to help BE THE BLESSING in her life. Whether it is $5, $10 or if you are blessed enough to give more...please give what is in your heart to help my friend fight her battle both physically and financially!
