Medical Expenses for Rebecca

Hey There, I’m Shae Harris, i’ve know Rebecca since we were young, she one of the longest and most loyal friends of mine and we’ve been through a lot together. As many of her friends and family already know from her posts, she’s been given a serious medical diagnosis.

Rebecca has astrocytoma (3) with unknown spinal complications. She will need chemotherapy in combination with proton therapy. Proton therapy is a unique type of radiation to avoid the risk of blindness due to the location of tumor.  Unfortunately the only proton therapy center is 3 hours away from her. So she will be traveling or staying away from home for long periods of time, all while going through
this huge change.

She won’t be able to work at her job as an EMT because she will be immunocompromised and it would be dangerous to continue working with those who are sick.
