New hair for the beautiful Paige

I met Paige just under a week a go and I can officailly say she has changed my life forever. I was scrolling through my "suggested friends" facebook is oh so kind enough to give to you, and I noticed her.  Having many mutual friends I decided to see if I knew her and add her. Being a photographer my eyes are drawn to people and places, I immediatly noticed 2 things that she was absolutley stunning and did not have hair in a picture! So of course I looked a little deeper, not knowing anything about Alopecia I researched it instantly. Then my brain started running wild.. how could I photograph her in a way that hasnt been done before?  So I got the guts to message her and come to find out she had just came out about her Alopecia on facebook in august!!  Not even 4 days later we got her outfits, hats,hair, tutu, and my camera and froze our butts off in the freezing November Missouri snow! I dont think I have ever been so challenged in my life,  Paige did most of her session with her hair/wig on and the last bit she was a bit hesitant but let me photograph that beautiful head of hers. I was just stunned by how amazing she looked.
     On our way home I remember her saying how expensive wigs are and she mentioned there was one she had wanted but it was way to far out of reach, who would of thought hair could be that expensive?. So I am praying between my photography, Paiges beautiful looks we can get her the perfect hair to rock every day! Help me reach this goal by sharing this post and getting the word out. I have never met someone so deserving as her and I cannot believe how blessed I am to have run across her! I am so excited to see how far this goes!

Alopecia areata is a condition that causes round patches of hair loss. It can lead to total hair loss. Alopecia areata is thought to be an autoimmune condition. This occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys healthy body tissue.
